Experience ⮕ Concept ⮕ Identity
Since becoming a father 2.5yrs ago, and having had the privilege to take parental leave to be the primary carer for our son from 7-13months old, I have leaned on 3 key concepts that continue to shape my identity as a dad. These 3 concepts are now the foundational pillars of DAD ARMOUR.
The inner Armour
The Armour you provide
The Armour you wear (the apparel)
DAD ARMOUR is not the typical dadlife/dadjoke vibe. It isn’t fashion. It isn't novelty. It's for fathers who lead from the front, for the men who raise, protect, and guide, and for the dads building legacies, not just living for the weekend. In a world of loud, temporary wins, DAD ARMOUR is for the quiet, permanent choice to be present, and to show up again and again.
It's for dads who express feelings differently through sacrifice and provision; for FIFO dads and Tradie dads, dads who put in long hour to give their kids more than they had. It’s for stay at home dads that are navigating a generationally different role and nailing it, and for dads who think they’re failing it but keep getting up and showing up and trying again. DAD ARMOUR is for the love of dads, the love of dadding, and the connections we’re building with our kids that weren’t the norm a generation ago.
DadArmour™ exists for you, for the dad that you are, and the dad you may be trying to become.
If this resonates with you, read on for more on the legacy, a link space for great dadding adventures + parks, DIY ideas, podcasts, supports, and stories, successes, failures, & learnings from other dads.
